Landmark Hospitals has an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Assistant to join our dedicated and professional team, where we are committed to providing the highest level of customer service and quality of care to our patients.


Responsible for assisting the Accounting Department with the retrieving, preparing, journal entries and payroll related duties. Focusing on general ledger, payroll, and regulatory reporting requirements.


  • Prepare general ledger entries
  • Process Payroll taxes
  • Reconcile monthly/quarterly state payroll withholding
  • Process weekly payroll employee benefit payments
  • Prepare sales tax quarterly reports
  • Process documentation for the payment of garnishments
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules and reconciliations
  • Reconcile W-2's to Federal and State reporting
  • Assist payroll in the processing of garnishments, and liens
  • Assist in the preparing the quarterly 941, SUTA, and FUTA returns
  • Assist in preparation of various regulatory reporting requirements including audit, tax, cost reporting and surveys
  • Assist in the preparing reports for Management and external users
  • Other projects/duties as assigned


  • Associate's Degree in Accounting
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of accounting experience
  • Knowledge of applicable general ledger systems & procedures and basic accounting principles
  • Payroll knowledge (preferred, but not required)
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and a team player is a must
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
