Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA)

Overview: Landmark Hospital of Savannah is a long term acute care hospital (LTAC) with a Transitional Recovery Unit (TRU).

Summary: The Administrator is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, directing, coordinating, reporting, budgeting, and physical management of the facility, residents and equipment in a manner that the purpose of the facility shall be maintained in accordance with established policies.

  Responsibilities:

  • Act as liaison with the Governing Body, medical and nursing staff, and other professional and supervisory staff, through regular meetings and periodic reporting
  • Works with Management in hiring and assures that there are adequate numbers of staff to meet the needs residents on a 24 hour basis
  • Evaluates the performance of employees periodically with the Department Manager and discusses the evaluation with employees as needed
  • Works with Management on providing opportunities and material for regular staff meetings and in-service education pertaining to the job
  • Develops and maintains contact with local individuals and organizations (public relations)
  • Establish standard operating procedures for physician practices, in coordination with the Director of Nursing
  • Reviews and evaluates all reports and document the disposition of recommendations and implementation from the facility's committees and consultants
  • Serves as the facility Compliance Officer and train all staff on the Compliance program
  • Participates in state/federal surveys of the Landmark Transitional Recovery Unit

  Requirements:

  • Current LNHA issued by the GA State Board of Licensure for Nursing Home Administrators
  • Two (2) years or more of experience as an Administrator in a skilled nursing facility or subacute unit
  • Demonstrated and proven track record of success with state surveys
  • Knowledge and experience regarding subacute care, rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
