Landmark Hospital of Southwest Florida has an exciting opportunity for a Director, Human Resources to join our dedicated and professional team. Landmark Hospitals are committed to providing the highest level of customer service and quality of care to those we serve.

We are a small and nimble organization seeking a "hands-on" Director for the Naples and Salt Lake City facilities. 

Summary: Responsible for managing the general Human Resources functions, including but not limited to recruiting, file management, benefits, reporting, payroll, orientation and employee relations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assures the qualifications and competency of staff by maintaining employee records to include licensure/certification verification, education, training and evaluation
  • Coordinate pre-employment screening and hiring process to ensure that requirements are met for new hires
  • Maintain current and accurate employee database and records
  • Maintain wage and salary scale for all staff
  • Develop education tools and provide adequate training to orient, develop and guide staff pertaining to HR and Personnel issues.
  • Monitor, evaluate, coach, counsel, discipline staff according to established policy with dignity, consistency, and maintains satisfactory documentation
  • Manage unemployment claims processes
  • Coordinate performance appraisal system, ensure managers have adequate time and information to complete employee appraisals
  • Coordinate employee grievance process
  • Coordinate general hospital orientation process
  • Assist recruiting efforts with Corporate Recruiter, which may include but not limited to advertising, job fairs, retention program
  • Prepare and present HR related reports at designated meetings

 Requirements:

  • Hospital background required
  • Bachelor's degree in HR related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in HR as a Generalist or similar role
  • Significant knowledge of all labor laws including FLSA, FLMA, NLRA, ADA, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • PHR or other certification strongly desired
