Landmark Hospitals of Southwest Florida has an exciting new opportunity for an Admissions Coordinator to join our dedicated and professional team, where we are committed to providing the highest level of customer service and quality of care to our patients.

Summary: This position is responsible for patient intake, charge capture, eligibility/benefits, pre-certification, patient interviews to include demographic verification and data entry.

Shift: FT/Days (M-F)


  • Enters, reconcile, and verify all appropriate charges
  • Verifies patients' medical benefits by telephone and online
  • Initiates and completes required pre-certification for scheduled cases in coordination with insurance companies and physician offices
  • Communicates detailed benefit information to patients and collects coinsurance when applicable
  • Documents patient demographics and financial information within the billing software program
  • Registers patients/front desk
  • Collect patient payments
  • Assist HIM coordinator with scanning and uploading patient charts
  • Effectively communicate with patients, physician offices and other healthcare personnel
  • Promotes cooperation within the department and leads by example, works as team player


  • High school diploma/GED
  • Minimum 2 years related experience in healthcare
    • Hospital/surgery background preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and codes; strong computer skills
  • Excellent customer service/interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented
