Landmark Hospital of Southwest Florida has an exciting opportunity for an ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Med/Surg.

Days/Nights 7a-7p or 7p-7a plus shift differential. 36 hrs/week plus benefits. (Will also consider PT and PRN)

Summary: Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.

Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for medical/surgical patients based on the established clinical nursing practice standards. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes and provides a well-structured nursing plan of care by providing patients active discharge education from the moment of admission through discharge.

Responsibilities:                                                                      

  • Conducting comprehensive patient assessments
  • Providing care for patients and management of their conditions, with regard to vital signs and lab work
  • Collaborating with Physicians and various disciplines within the hospital in order to manage patient care
  • Assisting the medical staff with in-house procedures
  • Interacting and communicating with patient family members

Requirements:

  • RN License (State of Florida)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital/acute care setting
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • Ability to assess patients quickly in emergency situations in stressful environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Superior analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Team, detail and goal oriented
  • Positive, professional and empathetic demeanor
