Landmark Hospital of Southwest Florida has an exciting project for a Consultant - Risk Manager. Landmark Hospitals are committed to providing the highest level of customer service and quality of care to those we serve.

*Please note this is a consulting opportunity and the timeframe for this project is estimated to last around 3-6 months, but depending on progress/needs, it may be extended.

Summary: The Consultant Risk Manager would work with the Quality Director (currently working on Risk Manager Licensure in the state of Florida) to help provide support for the risk management program in compliance with the Florida Risk Management Statues.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a resource and consultant for patient safety and process improvement
  • Assures compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards and ensures they are continually upheld
  • Completes all mandatory reporting for AHCA
  • Reviews event reports and attends all risk management committee meetings
  • Acts as a subject matter expert/consultant for any serious safety/sentinel events

Requirements:

  • Licensed Risk Manager in the state of Florida
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in risk management
  • Strong Clinical background with hospital experience
  • Strong working knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
