Landmark Hospital of Joplin Missouri has an exciting opportunity for a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our dedicated and professional team. Landmark Hospitals are committed to providing the highest level of customer service and quality of care to those we serve.

Shift: PRN

Summary: Provide physical rehabilitation therapy services to assigned patients under the supervision of the Physical Therapist in accordance with the PTA Practice Act of Missouri.


  • Implements physical therapy directives according to the PT care plan for the patient.
  • Obtains and documents patient information including history, procedure(s) performed, and problems encountered
  • Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises, instructing, encouraging and assisting patients in performing physical activities such as ambulatory functional activities and daily living activities
  • Instructs patients in using supportive devices such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
  • Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens, giving normal growth and development information, and promoting wellness and health maintenance
  • Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans
  • Strictly follows isolated and infection control procedures


  • Current Missouri PTA License
  • Minimum 1 year hospital experience, critical care/acute care preferred
  • BLS Certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Superior analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Team, detail and goal oriented
  • Positive, professional and empathetic demeanor
  • Ability to work flexible schedule
