Landmark Hospital of Salt Lake City has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Food Services to join our dedicated and professional team. Landmark Hospitals are committed to providing the highest level of customer service and quality of care to those we serve.

Shift: Variable work schedule

Summary: Landmark Hospital is the premier Long Term Acute Care Hospital across the Wasatch front. We are currently hiring a Food Service Director for our 38 bed facility in Murray, UT. We treat our patients as family and take pride in every meal we serve. We seek a Director who is flexible, proactive with a strong internal motivation and a desire to serve in the healthcare field. As the director, you will be expected to oversee productivity, ensure compliance with food safety and clinical parameters, and lead a strong crew.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for administration of the Food Service Department
  • Ensures efficient overall meal service program for patients, guests and staff
  • Completes and maintains all staff records including training records and performance data
  • Provides regular in-services to kitchen staff
  • Ensures adequate food products are in stock at all times
  • Forecasts food consumption for appropriate food purchase and requisition
  • Maintains relations with food vendors
  • Establishes compliance with safety, infection control and regulatory standards
  • Maintains high sanitation standards
  • Coordinates with Dietitian, Speech Therapist, clinical staff, and other hospital leaders

Requirements:

  • ServSafe Certification
  • 2 years verifiable management/leadership experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of Chef or Sous Chef experience
  • Basic knowledge of therapeutic diets, altered consistencies, and portion control
  • Strong background in customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in English   
  • Ability to work flexible schedule
  • Culinary or related degree/certification (preferred)
  • Experience in Hospital food service (preferred)
